CROCHET BABY 🧶
You may have noticed my latest collection is live now - crochet!
Possibly one of the biggest fashion trends of the season, crochet is fun, colourful and a great way to add some texture to your wardrobe. But the question I continue to hear is..."HOW do I wear this?"
Yes, crochet is meant to be sheer, so styling this for every day wear can be tricky. But never fear, nothing is impossible to wear if you have the right pieces to work with. Here is a video I put together to help with styling the new crochet dresses. Now, I try and pull from things I already own, so look to your wardrobe first, but I have added some links to similar pieces to help you along.
Here I style the crochet dress with a one piece swimsuit under. This particular one is from Cotton On and you can shop it here. The sizing is limited at Cotton on, here are some amazing black one piece swimsuits I have found so you don't have to:
Andie Swim Amalfi One Piece, Assembly Label Square Neck one piece.
Another great option for under the crochet dresses is a bodysuit, while researching for this post, I found this incredibly chic style from Jasmine Alexa - with it's cheeky behind, it's not for the faint of heart - here is another fuller coverage style from Boodi that is fantastic!
Sometimes you just want to feel secure - meet the slip dress! This one is OLD - like I'm talking pre kids, pre THRD, purchased at Bras N Things in the days of partying all weekend OLD! I couldn't find a like product online at the moment, but here are some great options:
SIR have this fab, close to body option, it looks like it will hold you in all the right places.
Target have a great Modal version (Modal is a very soft, lovely fabrication). This one is reversible for different neckline options. It's also very budget friendly.
Comfort wise, you can't go past a bike short and bra combo - mine are again an oldie from Cotton On, I found some similar ones at Target, and the price, WOW! If budget isn't too much of a worry and you're in the market for some shapewear, look no further than SKIMS. I have these in both the skin colour and black, they are great in terms of comfort and support without rolling or moving around as you do.
Stay tuned for more tips and tricks,
Love,
