CELEBRATING WOMEN
This year I wanted to celebrate women and mothers through connection and empowerment for Mother's Day.
I asked some friends, customers and favourite people to choose their favourite THRD piece and come get glammed up to do a photoshoot to celebrate being a woman and mother.
The vibe in the room was electric! Everyone had a story to tell about what they loved about this brand and shared commonalities about motherhood.
Being the designer and owner of THRD, I should be the one to start the story telling, so here goes...
The idea to start THRD started when I was pregnant with Havana, hoping to find some cool things to wear that weren't "maternity", the seed was planted but it wasn't until 2 years later this dream came to fruition and launched just days before Bowie was born. THRD | Label, a brand that will take you through from the days before the bump, during the bump and life after the bump!
I asked everyone in the shoot what they loved about Mother's Day - my favourite part is the anticipation of what the girls made mummy - those little cards and gifts make my heart so full. Since being a mama, those Mother's Day mornings are so special and I savour every moment of them. We like to celebrate with our mums, grandmothers and mother figures in our lives, usually brunch, lunch and dinner just to fit everyone in!
While we get to celebrate, a great deal of love goes out to those women who find this day difficult, I see you.
I want THRD to be a go to brand for every day, the items you grab to run out the door and feel put together and stylish. I get asked a lot, which is my favourite piece, well that's a tricky question..I design every piece with thought and love and attention to detail. What is your most worn piece is probably an easier question to answer, that's the Bowie Cardigan - each and every colour is on high rotation - that is, until I got this new bobble knit sweater colour ❤️
Stay tuned for new - I think you're going to love it.
